Our story

Two sides, one CABL

Adult league

Charlotte Adult Baseball League

CABL is Charlotte's home for real, wood-bat baseball: a volunteer-run nonprofit with 28 teams across 18+, 35+ and 45+ divisions. It's for grown ballplayers who never stopped loving the game and still show up on weeknights and weekends to compete, grind and win. Off the field, we're a community, with give-back events, player development, teammates who become family and rivals who become friends.

Youth program

Gaston County Lumberjacks

Our youth program began with a broken promise. A coach walked away from a team of 8-year-olds mid-season, and the families got no refunds. Youth baseball had become a business first and a kids' program second, so CABL stepped in.

Today our 9U and 11U teams play by two principles: baseball is for every kid, and the early years are for building a love of the game and a real understanding of it. Our players practice twice a week, compete in Top Gun tournaments and find teammates who become family.

Jerseys, helmets, baseballs and shared bats, catcher's gear and practice gear, so no kid sits out over what their family can afford.

A yearly background check for every youth coach.

No preference? We'll put your gift to work where it helps most.

You choose the amount.

There are no packages and no minimum. Tell us what you can give, and if you like, what you'd like it to cover. We'll show you exactly where it goes: “Because you sponsored, this covered ___.” If that item is already fully funded, we'll check with you first and agree on another use.

Our thanks, tailored to your support: you might see social media thank-yous, website and newsletter recognition, a banner where the field allows it, your logo on a team banner or jersey, or a CABL Cares listing. Every sponsor receives an end-of-season impact report. Youth recognition never uses player photos or full names; it stays at “thank you, logo and link.”
